This year we spent 3 weeks in the Seattle area visiting our families for Christmas. Yes, 3 weeks sounds like a lot of time but we were stretched pretty thin trying to see everyone (and we didn't get too). Poor little Allen was sick for 2 of the 3 weeks. All in all it was a fun trip.
We had a fun time on our annual trip to the Pike Place Market. It was a cold day but nice to drink hot chocolate and eat from the street-side bakeries.
Allen was so brave to touch the scary-looking fish.
Aunt Heidi (middle) came home with us after Christmas. She is working to save money for school and we love having her as a part of the family.
We took a very long walk with Grandpa and Grandma at the Theler Wetlands in Belfair.
Here we are at cousin Tommy's wedding. It was held on an Argosy Cruise. So much fancy fun!
Brad and I went with Wendy and her boyfriend James. They are such an adorable couple and tons of fun to be with.
Unfortunately the "Franklin grandkids photo" didn't go so well this year. Allen was running a high fever and sooo not into have his picture taken. We meant to try again later but forgot. How cute are their shirts? Thanks Grandpa Franklin!
Speaking of...here he and Brad are acting like studs next to Grandpa's sweet new ride!
Allen became a good little present-opener this year.

A perfect Christmas dinner! We spent it with Grandpa, Grandma, Wendy, and James. It was snowing outside too!
And Brad's favorite present...a family heirloom double barrel shot gun!
Unfortunately we don't have too many pictures with the Franklins this year. Apparently we were having so much fun we forgot to take out the camera. We did go with everyone to an indoor water park and had several Christmas parties. I think Allen being so sick put a damper on our photo opps. He's usually the reason we take out the camera.
