April '08

April has been a busy month in our home with final exams, seminars, a birthday, an anniversary, spring cleaning, and multiple home projects. The great part is that Daddy is home from school for 3 whole weeks...so he's been doing most of it. Allen hardly knows what to do with all the Daddy-time. He randomly jumps in his arms and gives him hugs.

Daily Karma and Allen interaction: Allen lays on Karma...

...Karma bites Allen! :) She doesn't hurt him. We do have her in puppy classes to help train her to be a good little dog. She and Allen are starting to play well together. We are all excited for her to grow out of the puppy-phase though.

Allen has discovered the joy of licking beaters. He leaves no beater unlicked!
He really enjoys the baking part too. He is excellent at dumping ingrediants into a bowl and mixing.

Brad built us a fence...a very nice one. Now Karma and Allen can both play in the yard without fear of them escaping (they have before!). Brad did most of the work himself but had some help from neighbors and Heidi.

I even helped drill a little...a very little. :)

Allen helped with the construction efforts. He brought things to Daddy, picked up little pieces of garbage, played in the dirt...

...and emptied the shed onto the lawn whenever we weren't looking.

Check out our fence. This is the front portion. Daddy built gates for the front and back. He is very talented and handy when it comes to building things.

After a long day working outside we like to blow up the air mattress and have a movie night. Allen's favorite part is jumping around on the mattress while it's blowing up.

Daddy took Allen and Karma on a little bike trip around our neighborhood.
