We think he had a very bad case of food poisoning. Either that or he picked up a nasty bacteria on his hands and ingested it. Whatever it was wreaked havoc on his poor little system.
It all started Friday morning. Saturday we took him to the emergency room. We thought he might be having an appendicitis. He was just very sick.

Monday he was doing a little better so we took him to my Mom's for a BBQ. He did alright there but we had to stop on the way home for diarrhea and then he threw up in our driveway at home. :(
Tuesday morning he had a fever and abdominal cramping. He slept half of the day and then I took him to his pediatrician. They did a stool sample and blood draw. No results yet but they still think it was just a nasty bacteria he got into his system.
Today, Wednesday, he's doing much better. He's holding his liquids in (and finally food too).
Luckily no one else in our house has become sick.
This was definitely a Memorial Day weekend for the books.
There is nothing worse than your child being sick. It gave me renewed gratitude for the healthy children we've been blessed with.
No fun. :( Puking is the worst. I'm glad to hear he's feeling a little bit better. I hope he recovers quickly!
